Here at the Living Room Waltz, we have a passion for ballroom dancing and a passion for love!

Guiding couples through steps, watching their nerves transform into confidence, and witnessing the sheer delight on their faces as they master each move is a heart-warming experience for us.

Knowing that behind the scenes between lessons, couples will be practicing their steps,
laughing and smiling from ear to ear, maybe standing on each others toes, but all the while having fun and creating memories they can cherish forever.

Because even after the first dance is complete, and the hype from your wedding has dwindled back to every day life, you will always have your living room and dance!

YOUR TEACHERS:

Our primary teacher, Kelsey, who holds three Australian National Titles, has been involved in the world of ballroom dancing for over 20 years. First learning to dance at 8 years old, she has spent many years competing, training and studying the art of dance.

After being married herself, she has a genuine appreciation for just how special a first dance can be! Teaching her husband in their own living room - laughing and smiling the whole way through, she wants to share that magic with every one else.

At The Living Room Waltz, we believe that every couple is unique, and their first dance should be a reflection of their individuality!

When we choreograph a first dance routine, we don’t just copy and paste.
By getting to know each couple we work with, we can create a dance routine that perfectly encapsulates the couples style and personality, be it intimate and heart-warming or light-hearted and playful.

We also take careful consideration for the couples chosen song. Does the music suggest certain movements? Are there high points in the song that open themselves up for low dips or high lifts?

Each first dance we have the pleasure of choreographing is unique and one of a kind.
